Services

Arboriculture Impact Assessments

An Arboriculture Impact Assessment (AIA) evaluates how proposed developments may impact nearby trees by examining their health, importance, and protection zones. This report is essential in development applications, determining whether trees should be retained or removed, and offering recommendations to protect them during construction and reduce negative effects.

Expert Witness

John is uniquely qualified to provide Expert Opinion. Combined with his Horticultural and Arboriculture experience, he served as Director of Unisearch Expert Opinion Services, Australia’s largest provider in the field for over 10 years, overseeing more than 900 reports per year. John has also trained professionals from over 80 law firms and associations nationwide in report writing and court performance.

Project Arborist

A project arborist is an AQF5 qualified specialist responsible for managing and safeguarding trees throughout construction and development projects. Their duties include devising and implementing tree protection plans to minimise potential damage during construction and excavation activities. Additionally, project arborists play an essential role in ensuring compliance with local council regulations and development application requirements concerning trees.

Tree Surveys

A tree survey, also known as tree mapping, is a detailed assessment of trees within a defined area, documenting their location, size, condition, and other relevant attributes. Often required for large projects such as transport corridors or solar farms. It provides a comprehensive overview of the existing tree population, aiding in informed decision-making for tree management, development planning, and compliance with regulations.
